Lone Wolf's Tribute to
HAIL BROTHERS AND SISTERS OF METAL!!!!
Manowar, the warlords of true metal. This is my humble tribute to
them. Though they may not be for everyone, I like them because they play, not for
fame and riches, but for the love of their music. I got hooked on them when my
nephew came back from being stationed in Germany. He lent me The Triumph of Steel,
because he knew I would like Achilles: Agony And Ecstasy In Eight Parts, being a long time
student of myths and an avid Role-Player. Another reason I like them, is because of
their emphasis on traits I admire: Honor, Courage, Unity, Loyalty. Traits
which seem to hold little to no meaning in today's world.
I was even inspired with an AD&D
campaign idea based off one of their songs. The source of the inspirations was from
the 'Fighting the World', the song entitled 'Defender', which also became the name of my
campaign. Area, geographical locations, and other factors stemmed from their

And a second campain/story line was also inspired from 'Dark
Avenger' from their 'Battle Hymns' album. Again it was used in the AD&D RP
setting and will also be put up if requested.
