This site is dedicated to my Great Grand Father, Absalom Ross who served as a Private in the 70th Indiana Volunteers, in the Pioneer Brigade, on the Gunboat "Silver Lake 2", at Fort Negley; to all of his messmates and comrades. Indiana had 277,220 men enlisted in the Civil War. |
