LIABILITY WAIVER
WARNING-SIGNATURE OF THIS FORM GIVES UP IMPORTANT LEGAL RIGHTS.  YOU ARE RELEASING THE SAN JUAN SAILING CLUB FROM ANY CLAIM OF LIABILITY FOR NEGLIGENCE.  IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS RELEASE YOU SHOULD CONSULT WITH YOUR ATTORNEY BEFORE SIGNING IT.  BOAT LIABILITY INSURANCE IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.
I/We recognize that the San Juan Sailing Club, Inc. is a voluntary, nonprofit organization for the promotion of sailing skills and boating safety.  I/We further recognize that the threat of litigation and unlimited liability may make it impossible for the Club to achieve these goals and conduct regattas and other events.  I/We therefore agree that, as a condition of membership and participation in any Club event, that I/We hereby waive and release the san Juan Sailing Club, Inc., its members, officers, agents, and employees, from liability for personal injury or property damage due to negligence during any club regatta, race or other event.  This is an unconditional release of liability for negligence.  This waiver shall remain in effect while we are a member in good standing of San Juan Sailing Club, Inc. or until modified or revoked in writing, with notice of modification or revocation to the Club.  This supersedes all previous waivers.
